Hosted by my beloved lovers over at the Do More Wear Less nation. We're bringing the Do More Photographers together for community, education and so much hot ass boudoir! Plus camp fires. BOUDOIR STYLING & STORYTELLING
June 12th, 2018 at 9am

Do you feel like you are shooting the same scenes over and over again? The artist in me isn't satisfied with always shooting the same scene. Intimate Photography doesn't have to be limited to the bedroom & lingerie. With Boudoir Photography, we can do ANYTHING. Seriously, Anything. Using our client as our muse, we design our shoots with personal elements, old + new fashion, and the surrounding scenery. I will share some of my favorite styling techniques and processes to getting magazine worthy images for our clients. This is a 3 - hour instructional & participation based workshop. We will talk Fashion, but also discover the infinite possibilities for Styling Boudoir Photography. Space is limited.

LIVE BOUDOIR SHOOT
June 13th, 2018 at 4pm

Get hands on experience with my team & I at this 3-hour live boudoir shoot & demonstration. Using some of my favorite shooting & lighting techniques, learn how we style, direct and photograph our on location Intimate Portrait Shoots. Most importantly, I want to share how we shoot & direct with fluidity, creating a more comfortable environment for the client and achieving authentic movement & expression. You are encouraged to bring your gear & get some killer shots for your own portfolio. Space is limited.

PRIVATE PORTFOLIO REVIEW
by appointment only

I believe that we often can't see our own potential and being entrepreneurs we don't have a boss to lead us in one direction or the next. Portfolio Reviews give you the opportunity to understand an outside point of view and allows you to make changes if your message isn't coming across how you intend for it to. With a background in Marketing & 2 decades of re-branding myself, I'm confident that together we can navigate towards enhancing your brand specifically to you and your work. Booked in increments of 30 minutes.

More Detailed Information and the CAMP PASS is available for purchase at PhotoCampDoMore.com

My Classes may be purchased by visiting my Boudoir Site

I hope to see you there! Please email me if you have any questions!! xx

My sissy's having a baby! Again!

My beautiful baby sister is having her second baby and we couldn't be more excited! However, the little sh*t isn't finding out until the baby comes and we are DYING to know if we will be blessed with another mini-Drew or if we will get a sweet little-lindsay to love. As I write this, she is just 4 days away from her due date and she is doing everything she can to evacuate this lil bundle. I'm hoping she just relaxes for a few moments longer until baby is good and ready to be here because life won't be this quiet for quite some time! lol

We started out my sister's shoot at her house, where we took a couple of candid shots of the family. Hudson, my darling nephew who recently turned two acted his age and reminded us of how much easier our first maternity photo shoot was. I love his little mischievous expressions he gives and I know exactly how to play him and make him think it's his idea to give me loves. I seriously can't tell you how much I love being an Auntie!

After grabbing a few shots at home, we headed north to Walnut Creek to visit the Ruth Bancroft Garden, a stunning historic cactus and succulent garden. This place is breathtaking! Too bad, the minute we rolled into Walnut Creek, a storm had rolled over. We waiting for it to let up and because Linz and Drew are such troopers, we bundled up Huddy and went on to shoot. The staff there was more than welcoming and we can't be more pleased with the outcome of these images!

Now if only our little prince or princess would arrive!

Dane & Nate
The Wedding Day

This Wedding. Dream Venue, Dream Couple, and Dream Fashion. Maria and I truly could not have asked for more amazingness from this couple. There was some sort of chemistry magic that happened when meeting Dane & Nate for the first time, it was easy to see that we would be forming a life long love for one another. Because this was a destination wedding and Dane is a crazy talented designer, Maria and I knew we needed to not only photograph their engagement and wedding, but a Day After shoot with the newly married couple, her fashion and our vision. We have far too many to post here on the blog, so be sure to check out our weddings site www.JenniferSkogWeddings.com to see the entire event!

And... Utterly Engaged published a 10-page spread of Dane & Nate's Wedding that has left us completely humbled and SWOONING!!! Thank you Utterly Engaged, you are simply so so stunning.

Personal Branding Shoot
Danielle Walker of Against all Grain

When I was in high school, one of my favorite things to do was dress up my girlfriends and take photographs of them. A couple of decades later and it still is my favorite thing to do! Not only that, I get to team up with my sis (Lindsay Skog) for hair and makeup! I don't think there is anything quite like the feeling you get when you love a photograph of yourself. As much as I prefer being behind the camera as opposed to in front of it, as a brand and a business owner, it's imperative that I share just as much of myself as my work. It seems everywhere you turn people on on their phones communicating or scrolling through a gazillion images on social media. What will be more memorable to your fans? An image of something you made or an image of you? You are the only one with your face and personality and experiences and goals. Just like I am the only one who can give you the Jennifer Skog Experience :)

We are addicted to making women feel confident and beautiful in front of the camera and somehow creating a comfortable atmosphere and capturing authentic personal images is our forte! We love what we do and hope to be a part of your story for 2017!

.....

You may have seen this beauty a few dozen times in my portfolio. Over the past 10 years, we planned our weddings together, suffered losses together, and built successful businesses together. This woman has survived more than anyone I know and continues to rise. I cherish her friendship and am beyond impressed with her strength, creativity and inspiration. If you don't know her story, go check her out, she's quite inspiring... 3 x NYT Best Selling Author & Speaker, Danielle Walker. Danielle shares her story of beating an auto-immune disease through healthy paleo cooking, recipes and life with her online journal, Against All Grain.

Here are a few favs from our 2016 Branding Shoot together, I swear I could photograph Danielle everyday :)

Dont give up your day dream

I'm sitting here still sweaty from my U-Jam class even though I already showered and now my clothes are totally sticking to me. I guess it's nothing a hairdryer, blanket and the heater wont fix :) It reminded me though of how amped I am for 2017 and just overall grateful to be right her, right now. We've got just about everything moved in to our new house here in CA; I've begun decorating in my mind, the kids school and daycare are taken care of and I've finally got my core workouts scheduled. All I feel right now is a sense of relief with excitement running through my veins. It feels good, real good.

I'm not sure if I have told you about U-Jam before, but it is an incredible dance fitness program with sick dance beats from all over the world. I'm crazy addicted to the feeling I have when I'm in my groove and couldn't be more excited to be back under the instruction of my main girl Jollene. A couple of years ago I challenged myself to become an instructor, I did it and am stoked that I did, but I think from here on out, I will leave the instructing to the real pros! Anyway, Jollene always has positive vibes she sends out to her class and today, as our last class together for 2017, she encouraged us to never stop giving up on our dreams. Keep them realistic, but never stop dreaming... this marinated in my head a little. What are my dreams and aren't I already living 'the dream' with a loving family and career doing something I love? Wouldn't it be selfish of me to really want anything more? But she said 'Don't stop' and I can't stop, there is still so much that I want to achieve. And simply because I love what I do, doesn't mean every part of it is actual physical work. And what about the pressure us artists hold on us? Yes, we were given a talent, but what a burden it is constantly trying to be better than your last creation? How heavy is the pressure when your love, your passion, your art, is what pays your bills. As artists so much of what we do is a reflection of our current mood or state of mind. We incorporate our lives into our creative vision, we use pieces we've picked up along the way to create what we create. Art, it's an ever-evolving and no matter how much of it consumes us, it's up to us to continue evolving too.. to keep dreaming and reaching and turning those dreams into a reality.

I do still have a lot of dreams for myself and for my career, often those two things are entwined, but not always. And I don't want to stop, I can't stop. I hope this little tidbit might inspire you too, to never stop dreaming and going after your dream, whatever that may be. Maybe you've lost a little part of yourself along the way as life often takes over and we tend to go straight into auto-pilot. Let's take a few moments to breathe it all in, clear all the clutter and find that little piece of ourselves we've been missing. We are super excited about things to come in 2017 and welcome you into our plans! I can't wait to create more and I can't wait to see what you bring into 2017!

Manifest that shit!!

xx,Jen
